Graydon is 15 years old and is in grade nine at Bluevale Collegiate. He is living with a rare genetic disorder that has impacted his speech, intellectual delays and most often his walking and balance. He has made amazing progress from using a wheelchair to walker to walking independently. He has participated in numerous running races with his walker and has completed 5 kids’ triathlons.
Graydon has had a long relationship with KidsAbility here in Waterloo, beginning therapies there when he was just 18 months old. He has gone on to represent them as an Ambassador in 2011-2012 and continues today as a volunteer. His volunteering and participation in local events has created awareness and inclusion for our special needs community. In June of 2015, Graydon had the great honour of carrying the torch at the PanAm/ParaPanAm Games torch relay in Kitchener. He enjoys spending time playing video games, working out at the gym and traveling with his family.
